The CSAG General Membership, Thursday, July 24th, 7:00pm
at the Senior Center (1514 N Hancock Ave).
7:00 - short business meeting.
7:30 - program - Our presenter this month will be our own CSAG
President, June Heimsoth. June is primarily an acrylic painter,
but has been experimenting with oils as well. She recently attended
a workshop with Ovanes Berberian, held near Jackson Hole, WY.
She returned excited and recharged from her experience. A
A few of the comments she made after returning:
· Learned more in one week than in 10 years of painting!
· How to set up, how to start, how to complete a painting
· Create rich, lush flowing paints
· How to make everything come together
· This workshop changed a photo-using, indoor, acrylic
painter into a plein air, nature-observing, outdoor painter
· Fog mist, rain, wind, who cares – put that brush
to paper on site
June is very excited to share this workshop experience with
all of us. If you need to get recharged and renew your enthusiasm
for painting, plan to attend.

Call for Artists - The Fireside Gallery at
Woodmen Valley Chapel is planning its juried 2008 -2009 calendar
year exhibits. All media, including 3D, charcoal, digital,mixed
media, paint (oil, acrylic, & watercolor), pastel, photography,pottery
and sculpture are welcome to enter.
Entry Details: Intake: Tuesday, July 15, 2008 between the hours
of 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.Woodmen Valley Chapel, 250 E. Woodmen
RoadColorado Springs, CO 80919Park and enter through the lower
level east side doors, next toConnections Bookstore Entry Fee:
None A maximum of five sample pieces can be submitted for consideration
whichreflect the artist's body of work.
Jurying takes place between 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. Same day pickup
between 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. Exhibit Length/Commitment for each
show- Eight Weeks Minimum number of pieces required per artist
for each exhibit - 12 Maximum number of pieces allowed per artist
- 45 Minimum 2-D Size including frame - 11" x 14"
Maximum Size 2-D including frame - 60" x 60" Minimum
Size for 3-D entries: 8 in. (Bases must be provided, exhibit
spaceis limited.) Maximum Size for 3-D : Approx. 28 - 30 in.
(Exhibit space is limited.)
Acceptance notification will be mailed within one week after
the juryprocess with details including the show dates assigned
for each artist alongwith a template for the title cards (which
